Kim Harrison's Outlaw Demon Wails

I usually really get into this series of books, but I am struggling to read this latest story. I think it's all of Rachel's whining. I don't remember her being quite so depressed in the previous books. All of her constant complaining and feeling sorry for herself about everything is getting on my nerves. I'm halfway through the book and hope I can make to the end soon. If it continues to be such a SLOW read, I don't know if I will read the next installment.
